Epiphani Studios ("we," "us") is a software studio operated by Afermi Ventures Inc. We build focused, private apps for Mac, iPhone, and the web. This policy covers this website (epiphanistudios.com), your studio account at account.epiphanistudios.com, and the way our apps are designed to handle your information. The short version: your content stays on your devices, your account holds only what it takes to know what you own, and we do not sell data.
epiphanistudios.com is a static site. It does not require an account, does not use third-party analytics or advertising trackers, and stores only your light-or-dark theme preference, on your own device.
One account carries every Epiphani license you own. When you sign in at account.epiphanistudios.com with Google (or a passkey you create), we receive your name and email address from your sign-in provider. We never see your Google password. Your account record holds:
Our apps may check with the account service to confirm that your email owns a given product. That check unlocks paid features; it carries no content from inside the app.
Purchases are processed by Polar (polar.sh), our merchant of record. Polar handles the checkout and your payment details; card numbers go to Polar and its payment processors, never to us. Polar tells us the email used at checkout, the product purchased, and the amount, so we can attach the license to your account. If you buy before you have signed in, the purchase is held against your checkout email and appears in your library the first time you sign in with that email. Polar's own handling of payment data is described in Polar's privacy policy.
Epiphani apps are built on-device first. The content you create in an app, such as recordings, transcripts, notes, documents, photos, or messages, is stored on your own devices and is not sent to us. Where an app offers an optional feature that moves data, such as a cloud AI summary or a backup to a destination you choose, that feature is off until you turn it on, and the app describes it in place. Each product's site and in-app documentation cover any app-specific details.
We keep account and order records while your account is active so your licenses keep working. To delete your account, email hello@epiphani.studio and we will remove it, keeping only the transaction records that tax and accounting law require the merchant of record and us to retain.
Our website, account platform, and apps are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
